Empyrean Surge

Empyreans can further refine their powers so that when they're already activated, they can pour even more of the force of Destiny to create a mighty burst of power, called a Surge. Following are some examples of what can be achieved using the Surge mechanic: Aetherean Whirlwind:  (Requires Aetherean Edge). Your melee attack for this round attacks all enemies within melee range. In addition you can disengage from melee and move up to your movement at no action cost. Dimension Edge:  (Requires Aetherean Edge). You can make a ranged attack with your melee weapon. You attack the air, tearing the space that divides you and your target in order to teleport your attack to them. The ranged attack receives supremacy, and you maintain all the benefits of Aetherean Edge. Winged Avenger:  (Requires Empyrean Wings). Your empyrean wings harden, doubling as weapons for the round, granting you Supremacy to melee attack rolls, allowing your melee combat roll result to be used as a...

Yrion - The High Aether

Image
Yrion also known as the High Aether, the Cerulean Veil or the Heaven Ablaze is a realm, a specific portion of the infinitely vast universe of the Unfolding Dream. Yrion rises like an emanation or a white-blue flame, dancing around the bright Pillar of Eternity, right above the Exalted Planes - other celestial realms that lack the depth and substance of Yrion, but are lively and vibrant homes of other noble and kind beings. This white-blue flame is called the Flame Eternal. It is the primordial quintessence of everything. It is the white flame of creation, and represents the might and superiority of the purest aspect of spirit and force. It is a power of creation, healing, great intensity and magnitude, and therefore also capable of destruction. It transforms and kills, but also purifies. It is the essence and weapon of the divine Ashar, the ancestors of the Aethons. Yrion consists of various Spheres that represent the highest aspects of existence. The Spheres mark the ...

Arandor - The Citadel of Anatheras

Anatheras is one of the oldest known names, its origin lost in time. Its meaning remains obscure. Some sources claim it means "Summer Palace", due to the alleged archaeological site of the old Arkenassian palace, buried somewhere deep in the bowels of the citadel. Others suggest the world relates to "Bane" or "Monster" due to the alleged presence of a slumbering ancient horror, sleeping in the depths of the sea near the citadel. What remains certain is that Anatheras is a place with a rich history and a lot of development. Sadly, most of the old sites are sealed under the citadel proper. But to understand Anatheras in its current state, one must comprehend the notion of the Arandorean Citadel. The Citadels were first built at least a thousand years ago, before the rise of the gods of the Hexad, with technology that is probably now lost forever. They are colossal behemoths, remnants of an era that is now long gone. They were built to secure million...
